Pyrgos Melissourgou or Melissourgos Castle is at Lagonisi and was originally build at 17th century. It was renovated but it kept its neo-Gothic architecture style. It is said to be one of the oldest and most historic private residence in Greece. Yet, it is in excellent condition and a perfect place for a romantic wedding.
You can bet that everyone has a good time in a wedding when the dancing party lasts for hours and it ends in the pool!
Nevertheless, that was not the only factor that made Laetitia’s and Colm’s wedding a great one! In fact it was an autumn fairytale… with a castle, a gorgeous bride, a loving groom and many happy relatives and friends to celebrate Laeticia’s and Colm’s happily ever after…
The wedding preparations started at a cozy villa at Lagonisi, where the beautiful bride to be was getting ready. Her mother from Lebanon, her father from Germany and her two brothers as well as few close friends were by her side. After the makeup artist finished Laetitia’s wedding makeup and hair, the bride to be put on her wedding dress under the sounds of classical music coming from an old record player. In a sweet and cozy atmosphere we took some portraits of Laetitia out in the garden and by the pool as well as photos with her family and her close friends. All the family was very hospitable and her crazy funny brothers surely gave us some memories to hold on for the wedding album!
Meanwhile, Colm the Irish groom, was getting ready in a special room in Melissourgos Castle with the help of two of his close friends. He was ready and in his ivory groom suite quite fast, eager to wait for Laetitia to arrive.
The castle of Melissourgos was ready, too. The wedding decorations were based on fresh flowers in earthly and pastel tones. It was definitely a perfect fit for the castle made of stone and red brick. Soon enough the guests started arriving and they were welcomed by a drink and treats while they enjoyed a dreamy view and a very special pool side place overlooking the sea.
